When hiring wedding vendors, make sure you receive an official contract from each business. If the vendor does not have a contract, you might want to look into another vendor to protect yourself. When previewing your contract, you want to ensure they have your correct date on the contract, the hours of service/materials they are providing, and any specific details for your event. After receiving and signing the contract, make sure to save a physical or digital copy.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK

Before booking a vendor, do your homework! In the digital era, it's easy to believe a company is official based on what you find on the Internet; however, we encourage you to dig a little further. So many fake companies are being created, making you book quickly, pay your deposit, and then cancelling on you at the last minute. Before inquiring with a vendor, start by cross checking all online platforms. Check reviews, preview pictures up close, and ask anyone you know who has used that vendor. Believe us, you can save a lot of stress by doing your homework!

EXPERIENCE = VALUE

When looking for vendors that you love within your budget, remember that experience is worth the cost. Just because you find a vendor cheaper, doesn't mean you should hire them. A new baker might not know how to ensure your cake doesn't lean after traveling an hour to your venue. The biggest mistake is hiring a planner that is new. This one vendor can make or break your wedding day! By hiring an experienced planner, they will know how to handle interruptions to your wedding day without you even knowing.

FOOD SHOULD ALWAYS BE TASTED

When it comes to events, everyone will comment on how the food/sweets tasted. When looking to book catering and bakery services, we encourage you to find vendors that offer tastings. Try to narrow down your exact menu or close to it. This allows you to add/eliminate food that doesn't meet your goals. It's important to note that Catering food is so different from food prepared in a restaurant. A professional catering company will have a ton of materials and knowledge needed to ensure your food taste great outside of the kitchen.

PHOTOGRAPHER, VIDEOGRAPHER, PLANNER, AND DJ

What do these four vendors have in common you ask? These four are the individuals you will be around the most during your wedding day. When booking these vendors, it's important that you look at personality amongst professionalism. You want to make sure they f
