Who We Are

Will Wright

Rebecca  Wright

Rockingham native Will has a true passion for creating stunning events that you'll remember for years to come. Will has grown up in his families hometown florist for the past 30+ years; however, he pursued other career opportunities before returning full-time in 2017.  When it comes to florals, Will likes big and showy arrangements filled with either all white and greenery or bight and colorful. When not at work, Will enjoys a good Netflix series with a cold Dr. Pepper, traveling or exploring a new restaurant. 

Pennsylvania native Rebecca moved to Rockingham in 2016 to pursue a teaching career. Rebecca joined our team six years ago after marrying into the family. Rebecca is happily married to Jim, Will's oldest brother and they have one happy child McKenzie. What began as a small favor here and there, is now Rebecca's part time job. Rebecca serves as our lead wedding planner. When not teaching full time, she can be found working with our couples to plan their dream wedding. When not at work, you can find "Becky" shopping at Target or taste testing at a local vineyard. 

WEDDING MANAGER + CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Lead PLANNER 

Hillside's wedding journey dates back to the early 1920's; however, we updated our brand in 2017 when son of the current owner took over the  wedding side of the business. With a passion for true excellence, Will found a huge gap within the local wedding industry. No one in our area was focusing on how design brings a whole wedding to life. Every breathtaking event you'll ever find printed in a wedding magazine, revolves around stunning florals.  Also, Will found a lack of creativity/originality at weddings. To change this, Will made it a goal for Hillside to transform the wedding industry so that brides could create their own wedding vision. 

Under Will's leadership, Hillside has started booking weddings all over North Carolina and parts of South Carolina. It is rewarding to look back and see how far we have come over the years, but it is even more exciting to look towards the future as we dream up new possibilities. The best is yet to come. We truly believe that the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

MEREDITH NORTH

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT 

Ellerbe native Meredith joined the Hillside team in 2023. Meredith contributes to the happiness of all those around her on wedding day, giving each couple’s family and friends - as well as their entire vendor team - a smiling face and contagious warmth. She can be found on wedding day, ensuring the couple and bridal party have everything they need including food, drinks, and florals. Meredith's favorite part on wedding day is witnessing the love unfold between the couple especially during couple photos. Outside of work, if she's not catching up on sleep, you can find her spending time with friends and dipping everything into "hot sauce".
